About Us

 Vivek Singh

Vivek Singh is one of the most successful and respected Indian chefs in the country, with three renowned London restaurants to his name – The Cinnamon Club; Cinnamon Kitchen; and Cinnamon Soho.

After training at some of the finest luxury hotels in India, Vivek took London by storm when he opened The Cinnamon Club in 2001. With his refined approach to Indian cuisine, he completely changed

the perception of Indian food in the UK, elevating it from a cheap and cheerful takeaway option to an authentic fine-dining experience.

Over the years, his success and reputation have only increased, with the opening of two more restaurants, the publication of four cookbooks and a whole host of media appearances, including a regular guest slot on BBC’s Saturday Kitchen.

 Our Ethos

"I have been lucky enough to follow my lifelong passion for food with a career as a chef and I now run three London restaurants serving modern Indian cuisine: The Cinnamon Club; Cinnamon Kitchen; and Cinnamon Soho. When it comes to cooking at home, however, Indian food is often misunderstood because of the use of spices and unusual ingredients, which can be off-putting.

I have always wanted to encourage people to venture more into Indian food and help people to discover new tastes and spices. With my first sauce range, I have crafted four of my favourite sauces using the finest ingredients and best spices to show the depth of flavour and variety in Indian cuisine. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!"

Our Restaurants

Situated in the heart of the City of London, Cinnamon Kitchen serves modern Indian cuisine in a relaxed and informal setting. A genuinely unique all-day dining destination, the restaurant houses the capital's first tandoor bar and grill, allowing diners to directly interact with a dedicated chef.

Complementing the restaurant is Anise, a chic cocktail bar serving the Square Mile drinking set a collection of the most exciting spice-infused blends.

Situated in the Grade II listed Old Westminster Library, The Cinnamon Club opened in 2001 and has been redefining the expectations of Indian cooking ever since, liberating Indian food from its straightjacket of tradition and crafting a brilliant marriage between Indian spicing and Western culinary styles.

Over a decade later, The Cinnamon Club is still regarded as a landmark London restaurant, offering some of the best Indian food in the Capital.

2012 welcomed Vivek's third restaurant, the more casual modern Indian Cinnamon Soho. A stone's throw from the cobbles of Carnaby Street, Cinnamon Soho focuses on comfort food classics and sharing plates, and the Anglo-Indian menu has set new standards and broken new boundaries. In 2012 Cinnamon Soho won 'Best Menu' at the London Restaurant Festival Awards and the restaurant's famous Bangla Scotch egg was included in 'The 100 Best Small Dishes in London 2012' category by Time Out.
